Guide for Mentors

The Guide for Mentors is intended for the mentors in organisations engaged in activities related to implementation of diversionary measure „Engagement, without remuneration, in the work of humanitarian organizations or community work”, realising that they could contribute to successful social integration of juveniles in conflict with the law.
The Guide contains basic information relevant for the staff motivated to step into the role of a mentor in the organisation.
Basic goal of this guide is to offer mentors basic conceptual framework for selecting jobs in the organisations that the minors could perform within the implementation of a diversionary order.  Also, the organisation itself may enrich its activities in accordance with own specificities and resources available.
The Guide provides knowledge in the field of child rights, information on the importance, purpose and the principles of implementation of a diversionary measures  as well as the data confidentiality and protection of a minor`s personality and security issues.

Signing a Protocol on Cooperation between the organisation and the Centre for Social Work is a precondition for establishing a mechanism and development of a multisectoral approach in the implementation of the diversionary measure „Engagement, without remuneration, in the work of humanitarian organizations or community work”.
