    IAN Telecentre traditionally organized school computers during the Olympics sports, health and culture of the third age. Computer School work during three days of Olympics of the third age. Participants are beginners and those who already have some knowledge of using computers, but what is common to all the great desire and interest to learn something new. Participants most interested Internet, than that to learn how to connect to it, and to search the content using a variety of search engines. They were particularly interested to find that the Daily News, to look at the more popular sites with discounts.

    The Law on Juvenile Offenders and Criminal Justice Protection of Minors was passed in 2005, introducing many important measures such as alternative sanctions and diversionary measures. Although diversionary measures offer a greater possibility for re-socialisation, healthy engagement for minors, and development of an open, responsible community, their implementation has been scarce.

  • Single mothers participate in TMA piloting in Serbia

    The piloting training on TMA project started in Serbia three weeks ago. A total number of 12 unemployed, single mothers are involved in the basic media training. Previously they finished four basic ICT courses. In the previous three weeks the lectures about photoraphy, video and sound have been rather amusing for the participants.

    For a third year in a row, on October 30, Silver surferscompetition was organised for grandparents and their grandchildren challenging their internet and computer use skills. Competing pairs consisted of a grandparent older than 55 and a grandchild younger than 13. The finals were held in the Public Library Kula within the cross border project Libraries for a new age.

    The workshop e-Librarian was held on 24 May 2013 in the City Library “Dr Djorđe Natosevic“ in Indjija. Representatives of the partner libraries participating in the project Libraries for a new age from Serbia (Kula, Indjija and Backa Palanka) and Croatia (Vinkovci, Vukovar, Ilok, Zupanja and Drenovci) had have been introduced with the concept of telecentres i.e. places in the community providing access to computers, internet and help citizens access information and knowledge using modern technologies.

    To mark the launch of the project “ Leave a different fingerprint on the world “ IAN organised a press conference on the 6th of November in Belgrade, where the project goal and activities planned for the next two years were presented. The goal of the project is to offer an adequate programme and ensure supportive environment, structure, social and psychological support aimed at the rehabilitation, change of behaviour patterns and social integration of youth and children with asocial behaviour, juvenile offenders and children and youth in risk of conflict with the law.

  • Super cyber teams: grandparents and their grandchildren

    On Saturday 18 th of June 2011 there was an unusual event which took place for grandparents and their grandchildren. The event was organized by the local NGO by the name of IAN (International Aid Network), and took place in Belgrade, Serbia. Couples were formed, and consisted of one of the grandparents who is older than 55, together with their grandchild who is younger than 13. They had a competition where they were to use the computers and navigate the internet.

    As a part of the campaign, in cooperation with the Youth Office of Zvezdara municipality IAN organises a Forum Theatre – an interactive play called Smart Click.   • Facilitation of durable solutions for refugees and returnees

    At the beginning of this year ( 15/01/07 ) IAN, as a lead agency, started the realisation of the regional project, in cooperation with NGOs from Serbia and Croatia. This project will provide: assistance in access to rights and information, and removing of administrative obstacles, with special emphasis on procurement of documents for beneficiaries and support for successful social and economic integration of beneficiaries through non-formal education.
